Mezzo in Vino

Mezzo in music means "half." Mezzo forte...half loud, mezzo piano...half soft. You get the idea.

One half of this wine is youthful Cabernet from Napa Valley. The other half is youthful Syrah from El Dorado. A lot of halves...red berry fruit married with black fruit, bigger flavors coalescing with softer. Light combining with dark.

A wonderful juxtaposition of flavors: the bright and more pronounced acid profile you would expect in Italian wines. Yet, in the nose and in the back end, the luscious fruit and substance you would expect from California. Very limited!
